Narrative:

Captain hand flying, flew through assigned altitude of 14000 ft. Altitude alert at 300 ft above, leveled at 500 ft above and returned to 14000 ft immediately. Supplemental information from acn 391390: due to preoccupation of checklist items we passed our assigned altitude of 14000 ft by 500 ft. We received the altitude warning and returned to 14000 ft after an inquiry by departure control at 14200 ft and descending back to 14000 ft.
