Narrative:

We were departing dfw via the dallas 2 txk, ACARS clearance, assigned a 090 degree heading by departure control and thence almost immediately upon the next frequency change, controller stated to join the departure. As fate would have it, at that time we were right on the 262 degree radial of the dallas 2 and joined it. Subsequently, next controller gave us a hard right turn to intercept the dfw 272 degree radial and leveled a flight behind us. No further problems.

Title: MD80S ACFT ON HDG VECTOR TO JOIN SID, FLC PERCEIVED THAT THEY ALREADY WERE ON THE CORRECT SID RADIAL, BUT WEREN'T. CTLR ISSUED A VECTOR HDG TO JOIN CORRECT RADIAL.

Narrative: WE WERE DEPARTING DFW VIA THE DALLAS 2 TXK, ACARS CLRNC, ASSIGNED A 090 DEG HDG BY DEP CTL AND THENCE ALMOST IMMEDIATELY UPON THE NEXT FREQ CHANGE, CTLR STATED TO JOIN THE DEP. AS FATE WOULD HAVE IT, AT THAT TIME WE WERE RIGHT ON THE 262 DEG RADIAL OF THE DALLAS 2 AND JOINED IT. SUBSEQUENTLY, NEXT CTLR GAVE US A HARD R TURN TO INTERCEPT THE DFW 272 DEG RADIAL AND LEVELED A FLT BEHIND US. NO FURTHER PROBS.
