Narrative:

On preflight walkaround I noticed damage to the fuselage just forward of door 2L (section 43). After further inspection, it was determined it was beyond manufacturer's limits and a permanent repair must be made. This was accomplished per maintenance manual by myself and several other mechanics. The problem was believed to be caused by contact by the loading bridge.

Title: A B767-300 WHILE PARKED WAS STRUCK BY A JETWAY INCURRING DAMAGE TO THE L FUSELAGE SKIN FORWARD OF DOOR 2L.

Narrative: ON PREFLT WALKAROUND I NOTICED DAMAGE TO THE FUSELAGE JUST FORWARD OF DOOR 2L (SECTION 43). AFTER FURTHER INSPECTION, IT WAS DETERMINED IT WAS BEYOND MANUFACTURER'S LIMITS AND A PERMANENT REPAIR MUST BE MADE. THIS WAS ACCOMPLISHED PER MAINT MANUAL BY MYSELF AND SEVERAL OTHER MECHS. THE PROB WAS BELIEVED TO BE CAUSED BY CONTACT BY THE LOADING BRIDGE.
