Narrative:

Flight was initially cleared to FL390. During climb ATC reclred to FL330 as aircraft was passing through FL330 at approximately 2000 FPM. Aircraft continued climb to FL340 before descent back towards FL330. ATC asked if flight was returning to FL330. After answering in the affirmative ATC reclred us to turn 30 degrees right and continue climb to FL390.

Title: FLC OF A B767 OVERSHOT ASSIGNED ALT AND WAS CORRECTING BACK AGAIN WHEN ATC INTERVENED AND GAVE A TURN AND A CONTINUED CLB. THERE WAS NO RPTED CONFLICT WITH OTHER TFC.

Narrative: FLT WAS INITIALLY CLRED TO FL390. DURING CLB ATC RECLRED TO FL330 AS ACFT WAS PASSING THROUGH FL330 AT APPROX 2000 FPM. ACFT CONTINUED CLB TO FL340 BEFORE DSCNT BACK TOWARDS FL330. ATC ASKED IF FLT WAS RETURNING TO FL330. AFTER ANSWERING IN THE AFFIRMATIVE ATC RECLRED US TO TURN 30 DEGS R AND CONTINUE CLB TO FL390.
