Narrative:

While descending VFR on an IFR flight plan the controller asked me to verify my altitude. I replied 2300 ft, the altitude I was cleared to. The controller (charlotte approach) said 'I was indicating 2100 ft, but that was within limits.' I assured him I was at 2300 ft. No further discussion. When I arrived at rock hill, sc, 10 mins later, the FBO operator said the charlotte tower had called twice and said to get my mode C fixed. I will get the mode C checked.
