Narrative:

#2 main landing gear torque links bushings were worn, so I followed an engineering standard repair on shimming the upper torque link. The engineering standard repair referred me to the component maintenance manual for the removal and installation of the torque links. The component manual was unclr on the installation of the upper torque link. I incorrectly installed the upper torque link which in-flight gave an incorrect indication of weight on wheels. The plane flew to its destination where the problem was corrected. The engineering standard repair is being modified to include checking the wow sensors.
