Narrative:

Problem caused by momentary lack of position awareness on the field while taxiing. This came after a long, difficult IFR training session. Pilot's thoughts were intermittently on a mental review of the flight. I (PIC) suddenly became aware that I was right at the edge of runway 15-33 where instructions were to hold short. At that point I would have been partially on runway 15-33 had I tried to come to a full stop. My decision was to clear the runway as soon as possible by continuing straight ahead since there were no planes moving on that runway (15-33) at that moment. Ground called immediately after my crossing. Solution for future prevention: fly/taxi first! Think about other things later!

PLT'S THOUGHTS WERE INTERMITTENTLY ON A MENTAL REVIEW OF THE FLT. I (PIC) SUDDENLY BECAME AWARE THAT I WAS RIGHT AT THE EDGE OF RWY 15-33 WHERE INSTRUCTIONS WERE TO HOLD SHORT. MY DECISION WAS TO CLR THE RWY ASAP BY CONTINUING STRAIGHT AHEAD SINCE THERE WERE NO PLANES MOVING ON THAT RWY (15-33) AT THAT MOMENT. GND CALLED IMMEDIATELY AFTER MY XING.
