Narrative:
On approach to runway 31 at lns, I had difficulty seeing the airport. I suddenly spotted the airport and was still in a position to land but needed to descend quickly. As I was about to lower the landing gear, the tower called and commanded a go around because of gear being up. I did go around and came back in for uneventful landing.

Title: PVT INST PLT ON HIGH APCH, FORGETS GEAR UNTIL LAST MOMENT AND PERFORMS EVASIVE GAR UPON TWR'S INSTRUCTION TO GAR.
Narrative: ON APCH TO RWY 31 AT LNS, I HAD DIFFICULTY SEEING THE ARPT. I SUDDENLY SPOTTED THE ARPT AND WAS STILL IN A POSITION TO LAND BUT NEEDED TO DSND QUICKLY. AS I WAS ABOUT TO LOWER THE LNDG GEAR, THE TWR CALLED AND COMMANDED A GAR BECAUSE OF GEAR BEING UP. I DID GAR AND CAME BACK IN FOR UNEVENTFUL LNDG.
