Narrative:

Instrument training under the hood in VFR WX. Practicing ILS runway 7 approach into santa barbara with instructor in right seat. Tower cleared us to land on runway 7 but issued hold short of runway 15R. We accepted clearance. Instructor told me at 100 ft hat to remove hood and make landing. Airplane was already nearly 1000 ft down runway and I landed but could not stop before reaching runway 15R. Airplane rolled through runways 15R and 15L before stopping under heavy braking. ATC reminded me that he had issued hold short of runway 15R instruction and that I had accepted. No conflict or evasive action was required. I was focusing on training exercise and concentrating on finishing approach to landing. I should have considered the hold short clearance for the importance that it could have had if runway 15R had been in use during my rollout. I think I was subconsciously thinking that my instructor would decline such a clearance if he thought it was not possible. I was PIC and responsible for the successful outcome of the flight, not my instructor. Next time I will listen more carefully to my clearance and consider that it may not be possible to comply with, in which case I will inform ATC immediately.

Title: SMA PVT PLT, LNDG OUT OF A TRAINING IAP ILS APCH, FAILS TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 15R AS INSTRUCTED. RWY INCURSION.

Narrative: INST TRAINING UNDER THE HOOD IN VFR WX. PRACTICING ILS RWY 7 APCH INTO SANTA BARBARA WITH INSTRUCTOR IN R SEAT. TWR CLRED US TO LAND ON RWY 7 BUT ISSUED HOLD SHORT OF RWY 15R. WE ACCEPTED CLRNC. INSTRUCTOR TOLD ME AT 100 FT HAT TO REMOVE HOOD AND MAKE LNDG. AIRPLANE WAS ALREADY NEARLY 1000 FT DOWN RWY AND I LANDED BUT COULD NOT STOP BEFORE REACHING RWY 15R. AIRPLANE ROLLED THROUGH RWYS 15R AND 15L BEFORE STOPPING UNDER HVY BRAKING. ATC REMINDED ME THAT HE HAD ISSUED HOLD SHORT OF RWY 15R INSTRUCTION AND THAT I HAD ACCEPTED. NO CONFLICT OR EVASIVE ACTION WAS REQUIRED. I WAS FOCUSING ON TRAINING EXERCISE AND CONCENTRATING ON FINISHING APCH TO LNDG. I SHOULD HAVE CONSIDERED THE HOLD SHORT CLRNC FOR THE IMPORTANCE THAT IT COULD HAVE HAD IF RWY 15R HAD BEEN IN USE DURING MY ROLLOUT. I THINK I WAS SUBCONSCIOUSLY THINKING THAT MY INSTRUCTOR WOULD DECLINE SUCH A CLRNC IF HE THOUGHT IT WAS NOT POSSIBLE. I WAS PIC AND RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SUCCESSFUL OUTCOME OF THE FLT, NOT MY INSTRUCTOR. NEXT TIME I WILL LISTEN MORE CAREFULLY TO MY CLRNC AND CONSIDER THAT IT MAY NOT BE POSSIBLE TO COMPLY WITH, IN WHICH CASE I WILL INFORM ATC IMMEDIATELY.
