Narrative:

Aircraft was descending to 10000 ft on the bsr 1 arrival into sfo. The PF forgot to arm altitude select on the autoplt, and the aircraft descended to 9400 ft before correcting. The PNF and flight engineer were distraction by a call from the cabin crew and the deviation was not discovered until the altitude warning horn sounded.

Title: AN ACR B727 DSNDED BELOW THE ASSIGNED ALT ON A STAR. THE PF FAILED TO ARM THE ALT SELECTOR.

Narrative: ACFT WAS DSNDING TO 10000 FT ON THE BSR 1 ARR INTO SFO. THE PF FORGOT TO ARM ALT SELECT ON THE AUTOPLT, AND THE ACFT DSNDED TO 9400 FT BEFORE CORRECTING. THE PNF AND FE WERE DISTR BY A CALL FROM THE CABIN CREW AND THE DEV WAS NOT DISCOVERED UNTIL THE ALT WARNING HORN SOUNDED.
