Narrative:

Aircraft inbound on localizer back course runway 14 approach at muskegon. Approximately three quarters of a mi from approach end, aircraft called and executed a go around for a truck on the runway. The go around should have been unnecessary. The inattention of both the ground controller and the local controller, along with faulty coordination between the two, prevented them from the knowledge of the truck on the runway. I believe that this is an isolated incident (especially at mkg approach) and both controllers are very attentive now.
