Narrative:

I was on an IFR flight plan from aap (houston area) to ads (dallas area). Controller cleared me for 300 degrees and 3000 ft to intercept ILS at ads runway 33. I had a localizer (2 dots to right) and started down to 2100 ft as cleared. I could see runway ahead about 5 mi. As it turned out I had set up an approach for runway 31R at dallas, love field. Controller then gave me vector of 360 degrees and climb to 3000 ft for runway 33 at ads. The runway lights for runway 31L at dallas love were not visible through mist and haze. Visibility was about 5 mi at this time.
