Narrative:

ASOS monitor was out of order and called in for repair at XQ20. Technician did not get call until XJ00 am the next day. One controller midnight shifts are conducted here. The controller on duty had no way of augmenting the WX which is our responsibility. The ASOS equipment more often than not supplies erroneous WX information. Our equipment was out, we couldn't augment. This has occurred in the past. WX is crucial to aviation in many regards. It seems we have, or the FAA/NWS had put a once high priority item as aviation WX and lowered it. Where is all the 'safety' here. Supplemental information from acn 348532: calls to the required facilities resulted in getting voice mail and no action taken within a reasonable amount of time.
