Narrative:

During climb to FL200 in IMC conditions with light rain and light turbulence, we were having a problem with the flight service interphone system, unable to communicate with our flight attendants. I was attempting to resolve the problem and attempting to receive ord ATIS. A 1000 ft callout (SOP) was made, but the captain was distraction by the interphone problem. We ended up overshooting our altitude by approximately 300 ft. During any danger of altitude, especially the last 1000 ft, I should not be doing any unnecessary activity in the cockpit.
