Narrative:

We were in a descent at a high rate and airspeed, given a crossing restr at benet at 13000 ft. At about 14000 ft, we were given a new crossing restr of 11000 ft. I used control wheel steering of autoplt and speed brake to make the new crossing restr, increasing the rate of descent. We were given a frequency change from center to approach passing 12000 ft and the other pilot reported to approach passing 12000 ft for 11000 ft with about 2 mi to the crossing fix, at which time approach gave clearance to albas intersection. Approaching 11000 ft, I started to pull back to level off. With the high rate of descent and control wheel steering, I descended through the altitude to 10600 ft and immediately made correction to get back to 11000 ft. Factors: high rate of descent, change in crossing altitude at intersection, using control wheel steering and not having the feel for how much strength required to level off and not familiar enough with control wheel steering, frequency change/routing change at leveloff altitude.

Title: AN ACR MLG DSNDED THROUGH ITS ASSIGNED ALT. ALTDEV. ERROR ADMITTED. NON ADHERENCE TO ATC CLRNC, BUT THERE WERE MULTIPLE CLRNC CHANGES. AMENDED CLRNC ALT CHANGE RTE CHANGE.

Narrative: WE WERE IN A DSCNT AT A HIGH RATE AND AIRSPD, GIVEN A XING RESTR AT BENET AT 13000 FT. AT ABOUT 14000 FT, WE WERE GIVEN A NEW XING RESTR OF 11000 FT. I USED CTL WHEEL STEERING OF AUTOPLT AND SPD BRAKE TO MAKE THE NEW XING RESTR, INCREASING THE RATE OF DSCNT. WE WERE GIVEN A FREQ CHANGE FROM CTR TO APCH PASSING 12000 FT AND THE OTHER PLT RPTED TO APCH PASSING 12000 FT FOR 11000 FT WITH ABOUT 2 MI TO THE XING FIX, AT WHICH TIME APCH GAVE CLRNC TO ALBAS INTXN. APCHING 11000 FT, I STARTED TO PULL BACK TO LEVEL OFF. WITH THE HIGH RATE OF DSCNT AND CTL WHEEL STEERING, I DSNDED THROUGH THE ALT TO 10600 FT AND IMMEDIATELY MADE CORRECTION TO GET BACK TO 11000 FT. FACTORS: HIGH RATE OF DSCNT, CHANGE IN XING ALT AT INTXN, USING CTL WHEEL STEERING AND NOT HAVING THE FEEL FOR HOW MUCH STRENGTH REQUIRED TO LEVEL OFF AND NOT FAMILIAR ENOUGH WITH CTL WHEEL STEERING, FREQ CHANGE/ROUTING CHANGE AT LEVELOFF ALT.
