Narrative:

Flight weight capped at 100 passenger. At departure time we had last min passenger boarded for a full airplane plus 1 W0. At the last min a passenger wanted to get off the flight. The gate agent and tower and I agreed that the passenger bags must be removed. After talking with the passenger, who didn't want to cause a problem, decided to go after all. Our closeout showed 88 and W0. We called about the west but both the first officer and I did not realize that the closeout should have read 97 and W1 for a total of 98 passenger. Half way to rdu the flight attendant came up and said gate agent left tickets on board. We then realized passenger count and load closeout was wrong. We called dispatch and gave them the correct passenger count and updated the weight. We did not exceed any structural limits of the aircraft or weights.
