Narrative:

Was operating aircraft on a test/sales acceptance flight with customer in left seat. At FL230 customer was slowing aircraft for slow flight and extended the gear. Shortly thereafter, we experienced a radio decompression with the cabin reaching ambient altitude. I repeatedly tried to contact ZKC to request a rapid descent, but center did not respond promptly. I instructed the PF to initiate a rapid descent to 15000 ft, which he did. ZKC called during descent and I advised them of the problem. They were very helpful thereafter and provided immediate clearance for return to stl.
