Approaching the osaka kansai airport with rain showers in the area, the first approach was abandoned due to heavy rain over approach end of airport. When being vectored for second approach was advised that we were #6 on approach. Declared 'minimum fuel' to expedite landing. Alternate was osaka international airport and rain showers were moving in that direction. Landed without incident. Supplemental information from acn 339295: the first approach was abandoned due to heavy rain over approach end of airport and not being stabilized at altitude, airspeed, and GS. We had been rushed, barely making a mandatory altitude restr.

Title: AFTER DOING A GAR BECAUSE OF UNSTABILIZED APCH AND WX, RPTR FLC ADVISED THAT THEY WOULD BE #6 ON NEXT APCH. THEY DECLARED MINIMUM FUEL AND RECEIVED PRIORITY HANDLING.

LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 339295: THE FIRST APCH WAS ABANDONED DUE TO HVY RAIN OVER APCH END OF ARPT AND NOT BEING STABILIZED AT ALT, AIRSPD, AND GS. WE HAD BEEN RUSHED, BARELY MAKING A MANDATORY ALT RESTR.
