Narrative:

During descent into ZZZ; we were cleared for a visual approach. I was high; so I deployed the spoilers and continued to the runway. We configured the aircraft on speed and lowered the gear. I was still fast; but was slowing. After selecting landing flaps; we got an ECAM for flight controls. It took me a second to realize that I had left the spoilers out. I stowed them and we finished the landing checklist. I was still faster than I wanted to be; but I continued to land. I landed in the far end of the touchdown zone and applied moderate reverse. Due to the high approach speed; I landed in an unspooled confign; configuring the aircraft earlier and selecting the gear down farther out instead of trying to use spoilers only to slow and then forgetting to stow them.

Title: AN A319 PILOT LANDED LONG FOLLOWING AN UNSTABILIZED APCH BECAUSE HE WAS HIGH; FAST; AND CONFIGURED LATE.

Narrative: DURING DSCNT INTO ZZZ; WE WERE CLRED FOR A VISUAL APCH. I WAS HIGH; SO I DEPLOYED THE SPOILERS AND CONTINUED TO THE RWY. WE CONFIGURED THE ACFT ON SPD AND LOWERED THE GEAR. I WAS STILL FAST; BUT WAS SLOWING. AFTER SELECTING LNDG FLAPS; WE GOT AN ECAM FOR FLT CTLS. IT TOOK ME A SECOND TO REALIZE THAT I HAD LEFT THE SPOILERS OUT. I STOWED THEM AND WE FINISHED THE LNDG CHKLIST. I WAS STILL FASTER THAN I WANTED TO BE; BUT I CONTINUED TO LAND. I LANDED IN THE FAR END OF THE TOUCHDOWN ZONE AND APPLIED MODERATE REVERSE. DUE TO THE HIGH APCH SPD; I LANDED IN AN UNSPOOLED CONFIGN; CONFIGURING THE ACFT EARLIER AND SELECTING THE GEAR DOWN FARTHER OUT INSTEAD OF TRYING TO USE SPOILERS ONLY TO SLOW AND THEN FORGETTING TO STOW THEM.
