Narrative:

I was flying a GPS heading to clovis municipal airport. I had been talking to clovis unicom and had been told runway 12 was in use. The GPS was leading me directly to an airport (which I assumed was clovis municipal). The #12 was partially obliterated by black marks but even though I was unfamiliar with the area I was sure I was landing on clovis municipal. I discovered that I had landed on cannon AFB.
