Narrative:

Location: approximately 30 NM southwest of tenni intersection, proceed while cruising at FL290 direct to tenni intersection following WX deviation in the vicinity of colliers VOR. Captain was flying and first officer was PNF when the TCASII sounded an RA and commanded a 1500 FPM climb. Captain disconnected the autoplt and complied with the RA guidance. The target aircraft was 2600 ft below and climbing. At FL295 TCASII issued monitor vertical speed. The other aircraft leveled at FL280. First officer notified ZJX of altitude deviation in response to RA and indicated we were returning to our assigned altitude. The ATC controller said that there were no other conflicts. He asked if we wished to file a report. We did not wish to file a formal report.

THE TARGET ACFT WAS 2600 FT BELOW AND CLBING. AT FL295 TCASII ISSUED MONITOR VERT SPD. THE OTHER ACFT LEVELED AT FL280. FO NOTIFIED ZJX OF ALTDEV IN RESPONSE TO RA AND INDICATED WE WERE RETURNING TO OUR ASSIGNED ALT. THE ATC CTLR SAID THAT THERE WERE NO OTHER CONFLICTS. HE ASKED IF WE WISHED TO FILE A RPT. WE DID NOT WISH TO FILE A FORMAL RPT.
