Narrative:

On a flight from mco to mia passing through 16700 on the way to 17000 we got a TCASII TA followed immediately by an RA. The TCASII was followed and resulted in a climb to 17300. ATC was advised, the VFR aircraft passed directly under our nose in the opposite direction. We returned to 17000.
