Narrative:
The ASOS unit is calling the visibility 3 1/2 mi. 3 1/2 mi is not a rptable value. Tower visibility is 2 mi and no one is authority/authorized to augment the ASOS unit at pne to reflect this value. Nothing is being done to correct these problems. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter indicated that the controllers have received appropriate training for WX reporting and stated that they now have authority/authorized to augment the ASOS WX report.

Narrative: THE ASOS UNIT IS CALLING THE VISIBILITY 3 1/2 MI. 3 1/2 MI IS NOT A RPTABLE VALUE. TWR VISIBILITY IS 2 MI AND NO ONE IS AUTH TO AUGMENT THE ASOS UNIT AT PNE TO REFLECT THIS VALUE. NOTHING IS BEING DONE TO CORRECT THESE PROBS. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR INDICATED THAT THE CTLRS HAVE RECEIVED APPROPRIATE TRAINING FOR WX RPTING AND STATED THAT THEY NOW HAVE AUTH TO AUGMENT THE ASOS WX RPT.
