Narrative:

Approach cleared me for visual, direct present position to the power plant for landing runway 26R. No other instructions. I descended to approximately 2500 ft -- which is about 1500 ft AGL. In accordance with our handbook and checking in with tower was told I had no clearance to depart class B airspace as the floor was 3000 ft MSL in my area. Airspeed was 180 KTS. The DME/radial for this area is not marked on commercial class B airspace chart.

Narrative: APCH CLRED ME FOR VISUAL, DIRECT PRESENT POS TO THE PWR PLANT FOR LNDG RWY 26R. NO OTHER INSTRUCTIONS. I DSNDED TO APPROX 2500 FT -- WHICH IS ABOUT 1500 FT AGL.
