Narrative:

ZMA called traffic maneuvering just ahead near our altitude. We pilots made visual contact and found traffic on TCASII. Traffic first appeared maneuvering, converging below, then turning away somewhat above, then turning back to converging course and converging altitude. Expected and received TCASII TA. Abandoned assigned altitude 6000 ft for lower (almost 5000 ft) and evaded via left turn exceeding 30 degrees bank, received GPWS 'bank angle' alert.
