ZMA called traffic maneuvering just ahead near the same altitude. Reporter made visual contact and found target on TCASII. Maneuvering traffic appeared converging. Received TCASII 'TA.' abandoned assigned altitude 6000 ft for lower (almost 5000 ft) and evaded the traffic by making a left turn exceeding 30 degree bank which triggered the GPWS 'bank angle' alert.

Traffic first appeared maneuvering, converging below, then turning away somewhat above, then turning back to converging course and converging altitude. Expected and received TCASII TA. Abandoned assigned altitude 6000 ft for lower (almost 5000 ft) and evaded via left turn exceeding 30 degrees bank, received GPWS 'bank angle' alert.
