Narrative:

Our original route from sjc to dfw put us over czq then outbound on the cqz 051 degree radial for 75 NM then direct to lidat intersection, J92 bld, J72 turki, and the boids arrival to dfw. Prior to czq, ZOA rerted us directly from czq to bld, then our flight planned route. After passing czq by about 20 mi, we were advised by ZOA that the military had closed their airspace and we were to turn northwest for vectors back to our original course. While on the vector, I elected to go off frequency to update our passenger on the route, WX and ETA. The first officer was flying the aircraft and monitoring the radio. When I returned from the PA (about 2 mins), I asked the first officer if there were any changes to the flight while I was off. He stated yes, we were now cleared directly to bty VOR, then on course. I responded with a question, 'direct bty VOR or direct lidat intersection?' the first officer asked center to clarify our clearance, but was cut out by another aircraft. A second request to center for clarification was followed by ZOA's remark that we were south of course and were to fly a heading of 60 degrees for direct lidat. Our heading at the time was 90 degrees. He stated we were drifting into military restr airspace. Within a few mins of navigating to lidat intersection, we were reclred direct to bty VOR and flight plan route. No indication by ATC was given that we had actually violated military airspace. The obvious problem is not an unusual one. With only 1 pilot flying and working radios at times, misreads will and do happen.

Title: AN MOA BECAME ACTIVE AFTER AN ACR FLC HAD RECEIVED A CLRNC THROUGH THAT AIRSPACE AND THE ARTCC RADAR CTLR THEN HAD TO ISSUE VECTORS TO CLR THE ACR FROM THE MOA. THE SUBSEQUENT ROUTING WAS MISINTERPRETED BY THE PF AND THE CTLR HAD TO INTERVENE WITH MORE VECTORS TO KEEP THE FLC FROM RE-ENTERING MIL AIRSPACE.

Narrative: OUR ORIGINAL RTE FROM SJC TO DFW PUT US OVER CZQ THEN OUTBOUND ON THE CQZ 051 DEG RADIAL FOR 75 NM THEN DIRECT TO LIDAT INTXN, J92 BLD, J72 TURKI, AND THE BOIDS ARR TO DFW. PRIOR TO CZQ, ZOA RERTED US DIRECTLY FROM CZQ TO BLD, THEN OUR FLT PLANNED RTE. AFTER PASSING CZQ BY ABOUT 20 MI, WE WERE ADVISED BY ZOA THAT THE MIL HAD CLOSED THEIR AIRSPACE AND WE WERE TO TURN NW FOR VECTORS BACK TO OUR ORIGINAL COURSE. WHILE ON THE VECTOR, I ELECTED TO GO OFF FREQ TO UPDATE OUR PAX ON THE RTE, WX AND ETA. THE FO WAS FLYING THE ACFT AND MONITORING THE RADIO. WHEN I RETURNED FROM THE PA (ABOUT 2 MINS), I ASKED THE FO IF THERE WERE ANY CHANGES TO THE FLT WHILE I WAS OFF. HE STATED YES, WE WERE NOW CLRED DIRECTLY TO BTY VOR, THEN ON COURSE. I RESPONDED WITH A QUESTION, 'DIRECT BTY VOR OR DIRECT LIDAT INTXN?' THE FO ASKED CTR TO CLARIFY OUR CLRNC, BUT WAS CUT OUT BY ANOTHER ACFT. A SECOND REQUEST TO CTR FOR CLARIFICATION WAS FOLLOWED BY ZOA'S REMARK THAT WE WERE S OF COURSE AND WERE TO FLY A HDG OF 60 DEGS FOR DIRECT LIDAT. OUR HDG AT THE TIME WAS 90 DEGS. HE STATED WE WERE DRIFTING INTO MIL RESTR AIRSPACE. WITHIN A FEW MINS OF NAVING TO LIDAT INTXN, WE WERE RECLRED DIRECT TO BTY VOR AND FLT PLAN RTE. NO INDICATION BY ATC WAS GIVEN THAT WE HAD ACTUALLY VIOLATED MIL AIRSPACE. THE OBVIOUS PROB IS NOT AN UNUSUAL ONE. WITH ONLY 1 PLT FLYING AND WORKING RADIOS AT TIMES, MISREADS WILL AND DO HAPPEN.
