Narrative:
Location: intersection taxiway a and A19. After landing runway 22R, high speed runway 9L, we were given instructions to taxi to our gate xx via H/a., approaching taxiway A20, I saw a B747 enter taxiway A19 then turn south on taxiway a. I stopped the aircraft rather than trying to guess whether the B747 was going to stop, which he did not. When questioned, the ground controller stated he was working 2 frequencys and had missed this potential problem. Had this situation occurred in other than day/VFR conditions, the outcome might have been less desirable.
