Narrative:

We had just cleared runway 29R on landing rollout. I called ground control 3 times for taxi to gate. He finally answered on third call and said to taxi to gate on taxiway C. The controller didn't give me time to answer and went on talking to another aircraft. I waited to get a word in but finally gave up because I was getting behind on my after landing duties and checklist. I was so busy trying to get caught up I didn't notice the captain was not following the controller's instructions. It never fails to happen that when I'm overloaded the other guy picks that time to do the wrong thing.
