Narrative:

Departed XXX for YYY on flight DVFR squawk code abcd stopped for fuel at YYY for fuel. On departure YYY went up company code (abcd). Did not notice that I put in abce instead of abcd. About 90 mi from ZZZ heard blanket call on company radio to check codes. Noticed the mistake and put in abcd. Few minutes later company called and asked my location. Said they had someone on line saying I was squawking wrong code. Asked her to ask if I put in code abcd for my original DVFR if it would be ok. They said yes. About 5 mins later two F18's pulled up beside me. Tried 121.5 no response. Called ZZZ gave my location and situation. ZZZ radio tried to reach them on 121.5, no response. Told ZZZ to call company dispatch. About 10 mins later they departed.
