Narrative:
Base leg runway 08 at iah, leaving 4000 ft for 3000 ft approach called out traffic at 11 O'clock to follow for visual -- I turned in quickly to follow that traffic. A few seconds later approach called out traffic at 12 O'clock. I saw traffic (DC9-80) at 1 O'clock and turned to right to follow DC9 and slowed as fast as possible to gain spacing on final. Closest to DC9, 1 1/2 to 2 mi.
