Narrative:
While at an automatic accident (our aircraft was the EMS responder) we were asked to transport 2 patients from an automatic accident. I figured weight and balance, it was within limits. Next I was asked by a flight nurse if we could take an attendant to help with patient #1. Again, weight and balance was refigured, all within limits. Flight nurse #2 asked if she could also take a person for assistance. With weight and balance figured again, all was within limits for safe flight. The flight departed back to the hospital without incident. On feb/xx/96 at XA00 hours I was informed that we had transported 1 more person than there were seats for. I did not know one of the flight nurses had brought 1 extra person on board without my knowledge. Upon my finding out I filed this report.
