Narrative:

While IMC on vectors to intercept the ILS runway 35R at 14 DME on a 290 degree heading at 4000 ft MSL at XX24Z we received clearance for the ILS runway 35R. At 12 DME established on the approach, we received a TA from the TCASII and we saw traffic on the TCASII at our altitude and at our 10 O'clock position. The traffic continued to move towards us and the TCASII gave us an RA when the traffic was approximately 1.5 mi. We immediately responded to the RA and made a descent to 3000 ft MSL and notified the approach controller that we were responding to an RA. The controller notified us of the traffic and assigned us a heading of 030 degrees. We received a clear of conflict from the TCASII at 3300 ft MSL and informed ATC. The controller next assigned a heading of 290 degrees and a descent to 2300 ft MSL to intercept the ILS runway 35R. After a short pause the controller assigned us new heading of 030 degrees and a climb to 4000 ft MSL for a missed approach. The controller then assigned us another heading of 270 degrees and asked us if we could make the descent. We told the controller that we would try to make the descent for the airport and the controller cleared us the ILS runway 35R again. We made an uneventful landing at dfw. The WX was 1200 ft overcast and 2 mi visibility with altimeter 29.81.

Title: AFTER THE FLC OF AN MLG HAD DSNDED IN RESPONSE TO A TCASII RA DURING AN ILS APCH, ATC INTERRUPTED THEIR APCH CLRNC 4 MORE TIMES BY VECTORS AND ALT CHANGES FOR TFC SPACING. FINALLY, THEY WERE CLRED TO CONTINUE THE APCH.

Narrative: WHILE IMC ON VECTORS TO INTERCEPT THE ILS RWY 35R AT 14 DME ON A 290 DEG HDG AT 4000 FT MSL AT XX24Z WE RECEIVED CLRNC FOR THE ILS RWY 35R. AT 12 DME ESTABLISHED ON THE APCH, WE RECEIVED A TA FROM THE TCASII AND WE SAW TFC ON THE TCASII AT OUR ALT AND AT OUR 10 O'CLOCK POS. THE TFC CONTINUED TO MOVE TOWARDS US AND THE TCASII GAVE US AN RA WHEN THE TFC WAS APPROX 1.5 MI. WE IMMEDIATELY RESPONDED TO THE RA AND MADE A DSCNT TO 3000 FT MSL AND NOTIFIED THE APCH CTLR THAT WE WERE RESPONDING TO AN RA. THE CTLR NOTIFIED US OF THE TFC AND ASSIGNED US A HDG OF 030 DEGS. WE RECEIVED A CLR OF CONFLICT FROM THE TCASII AT 3300 FT MSL AND INFORMED ATC. THE CTLR NEXT ASSIGNED A HDG OF 290 DEGS AND A DSCNT TO 2300 FT MSL TO INTERCEPT THE ILS RWY 35R. AFTER A SHORT PAUSE THE CTLR ASSIGNED US NEW HDG OF 030 DEGS AND A CLB TO 4000 FT MSL FOR A MISSED APCH. THE CTLR THEN ASSIGNED US ANOTHER HDG OF 270 DEGS AND ASKED US IF WE COULD MAKE THE DSCNT. WE TOLD THE CTLR THAT WE WOULD TRY TO MAKE THE DSCNT FOR THE ARPT AND THE CTLR CLRED US THE ILS RWY 35R AGAIN. WE MADE AN UNEVENTFUL LNDG AT DFW. THE WX WAS 1200 FT OVCST AND 2 MI VISIBILITY WITH ALTIMETER 29.81.
