Narrative:

During preflight cockpit set-up, as no SID was listed on the flight plan/release, set cockpit up for seattle two SID (radar vector), as that is by far the usual SID flown, in my experience. Just prior to receiving our printed pre departure clearance we got involved with an aircraft malfunction which could not be MEL deferred. About 1 hour later the maintenance folks fixed the aircraft and, being very late, we pushed back, etc, as expeditiously as we could. After takeoff, having intercepted the outbound radial, I heard seattle departure tell an aircraft which had just taken off to delay their turn, as the previous aircraft had failed to turn. I immediately checked our pre departure clearance, which was when I noticed the SID assigned was the mountain four, not the seattle two, and we should have turned at 8 DME. Seattle departure then gave us a right turn, to intercept the airway that was part of our route. They, nor center, ever said a word to us directly, but I still assume we were the 'previous aircraft' who had failed to turn.

Title: FLC OF WDB IS INTERRUPTED IN PREFLT DUTIES WITH MECHANICAL PROB. THEY USE THE WRONG SID DUE TO HURRYING THEIR DEP ONCE REPAIRS ARE MADE. ATC DOES NOT SAY ANYTHING BUT THEY HEAR ANOTHER ACFT BEING ASKED TO DELAY TURN SINCE ACFT AHEAD DID NOT TURN.

Narrative: DURING PREFLT COCKPIT SET-UP, AS NO SID WAS LISTED ON THE FLT PLAN/RELEASE, SET COCKPIT UP FOR SEATTLE TWO SID (RADAR VECTOR), AS THAT IS BY FAR THE USUAL SID FLOWN, IN MY EXPERIENCE. JUST PRIOR TO RECEIVING OUR PRINTED PDC WE GOT INVOLVED WITH AN ACFT MALFUNCTION WHICH COULD NOT BE MEL DEFERRED. ABOUT 1 HR LATER THE MAINT FOLKS FIXED THE ACFT AND, BEING VERY LATE, WE PUSHED BACK, ETC, AS EXPEDITIOUSLY AS WE COULD. AFTER TKOF, HAVING INTERCEPTED THE OUTBOUND RADIAL, I HEARD SEATTLE DEP TELL AN ACFT WHICH HAD JUST TAKEN OFF TO DELAY THEIR TURN, AS THE PREVIOUS ACFT HAD FAILED TO TURN. I IMMEDIATELY CHKED OUR PDC, WHICH WAS WHEN I NOTICED THE SID ASSIGNED WAS THE MOUNTAIN FOUR, NOT THE SEATTLE TWO, AND WE SHOULD HAVE TURNED AT 8 DME. SEATTLE DEP THEN GAVE US A R TURN, TO INTERCEPT THE AIRWAY THAT WAS PART OF OUR RTE. THEY, NOR CTR, EVER SAID A WORD TO US DIRECTLY, BUT I STILL ASSUME WE WERE THE 'PREVIOUS ACFT' WHO HAD FAILED TO TURN.
