Narrative:
I thought construction was completed and airport open. A check of NOTAMS or with FSS would have set me straight. I obviously did not check available information concerning my flight. Approximately XA30 am I landed at grass valley, ca. The airport was closed for work. I did not see the X's, which were on the threshold beyond the runway numbers and not that visible. Someone came on unicom and suggested I leave, which I did immediately.
