Narrative:

Aircraft had a history of lift dumper fault messages over the past several days, 6 repeat write-ups. Maintenance accomplished several checks, disconnected the lift dumper system and placed a placard over the lftd switch in accordance with MEL. Called maintenance later regarding a proximity switch system inoperative message on the MFDU. Maintenance stated that this message is normal following the checks that they performed. Upon arrival at roc, contacted company maintenance and they stated that if a proximity switch, system inoperative message requires a separate placard. Roc maintenance corrected the problem which canceled the message.
