Narrative:
Received request for MEL 34-18 #2 ADF air carrier xyz, received dispatch authority/authorized and issued MEL. Approximately 1 hour later, when reviewing MEL's, found that aircraft was going to ZZZ (MEL not adhered). Notified dispatch. Too late to turn ZZZ back. At ZZZ a review of logbook showed no ADF items. Found that MEL was issued against wrong aircraft. Should have been XXX on trip XXX to ZZZ. Notified ZZZ. Reissued MEL 34-18 and corrected logbook. 1) issued MEL against wrong aircraft. 2) correct aircraft XXX -- dispatcher was not notified. Aircraft made 1 trip. Corrected logbook at ZZZ.

Title: 2 B727-200 ACFT WERE DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE. ONE WITH THE #2 ADF RECEIVER PLACARDED AS INOP BUT ON THE WRONG AIRPLANE.
Narrative: RECEIVED REQUEST FOR MEL 34-18 #2 ADF ACR XYZ, RECEIVED DISPATCH AUTH AND ISSUED MEL. APPROX 1 HR LATER, WHEN REVIEWING MEL'S, FOUND THAT ACFT WAS GOING TO ZZZ (MEL NOT ADHERED). NOTIFIED DISPATCH. TOO LATE TO TURN ZZZ BACK. AT ZZZ A REVIEW OF LOGBOOK SHOWED NO ADF ITEMS. FOUND THAT MEL WAS ISSUED AGAINST WRONG ACFT. SHOULD HAVE BEEN XXX ON TRIP XXX TO ZZZ. NOTIFIED ZZZ. REISSUED MEL 34-18 AND CORRECTED LOGBOOK. 1) ISSUED MEL AGAINST WRONG ACFT. 2) CORRECT ACFT XXX -- DISPATCHER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. ACFT MADE 1 TRIP. CORRECTED LOGBOOK AT ZZZ.
