Narrative:

Northbound on R763 at bacus intersection, we requested deviations due to a line of WX and proceeded northwest on AR8. Passenger and flight attendants were advised approximately 10 mins prior to the area in question of possible turbulence and the seat belt sign was turned on. Approximately 2 mins prior to the turbulence, the flight attendants were asked to be seated. We were at FL280 in cirrus clouds deviating with the use of WX radar when we encountered moderate+ turbulence for a short duration. 1 female passenger wasn't in her seat during this time and was injured during the encounter. Medical assistance was provided by an on board doctor and emergency medical assistance met the aircraft.
