Narrative:

C172 called for departure and was cleared for takeoff on runway 12. Student at controls was slow taxiing onto runway. Before C172 aligned on runway, C150 was cleared for takeoff on runway 34 and told to 'expedite.' C172 CFI did not have C150 in sight, was unsure of controller situational awareness, aborted takeoff and notified tower. C172 cleared to 'hold short' (runway 34?). After C150 takeoff, C172 cleared for takeoff. Human performance consideration, controller overload due to third aircraft emergency, coordination with emergency crews, working both local and ground control.
