Narrative:

I took off from cxo on runway 32 due to winds at taxi. I had just had an annual completed during which a hydraulic line was replaced so the mechanic was standing outside the FBO with a VHF transmitter to observe the takeoff and retraction of gear and flaps which are hydraulically operated. After takeoff, prior to picking up my IFR flight plan for the leg to lit, the nose gear light indicated unsafe. In the meantime an aircraft had landed on runway 14 (with calm winds) so I announced on the unicom I would make a right base to runway 19 for a low flyby for a visual check of the nose gear. I called final for runway 19 (on unicom) and while on final the nose gear indicated safe (most likely there was some air in the line to be worked out). During my right base and final to runway 19, a cessna 206 had taxied out to runway 01 without any radio calls and took off on runway 01 again with no calls. I saw him on rotation and cleared the runway 19 to the right. I don't think he ever saw me. I then picked up my IFR flight plan and proceeded to lit. The unicom confirmed that the C206 had not made any calls. Corrective action - - an old story -- use the radio as required at uncontrolled fields.

Title: PLT RETURNED FOR FLYBY AND DURING FLYBY HE NOTED ANOTHER ACFT USING OPPOSITE DIRECTION RWY WITHOUT COMMUNICATING INTENTIONS. PLT TOOK EVASIVE ACTION FROM ONCOMING ACFT.

Narrative: I TOOK OFF FROM CXO ON RWY 32 DUE TO WINDS AT TAXI. I HAD JUST HAD AN ANNUAL COMPLETED DURING WHICH A HYD LINE WAS REPLACED SO THE MECH WAS STANDING OUTSIDE THE FBO WITH A VHF XMITTER TO OBSERVE THE TKOF AND RETRACTION OF GEAR AND FLAPS WHICH ARE HYDRAULICALLY OPERATED. AFTER TKOF, PRIOR TO PICKING UP MY IFR FLT PLAN FOR THE LEG TO LIT, THE NOSE GEAR LIGHT INDICATED UNSAFE. IN THE MEANTIME AN ACFT HAD LANDED ON RWY 14 (WITH CALM WINDS) SO I ANNOUNCED ON THE UNICOM I WOULD MAKE A R BASE TO RWY 19 FOR A LOW FLYBY FOR A VISUAL CHK OF THE NOSE GEAR. I CALLED FINAL FOR RWY 19 (ON UNICOM) AND WHILE ON FINAL THE NOSE GEAR INDICATED SAFE (MOST LIKELY THERE WAS SOME AIR IN THE LINE TO BE WORKED OUT). DURING MY R BASE AND FINAL TO RWY 19, A CESSNA 206 HAD TAXIED OUT TO RWY 01 WITHOUT ANY RADIO CALLS AND TOOK OFF ON RWY 01 AGAIN WITH NO CALLS. I SAW HIM ON ROTATION AND CLRED THE RWY 19 TO THE R. I DON'T THINK HE EVER SAW ME. I THEN PICKED UP MY IFR FLT PLAN AND PROCEEDED TO LIT. THE UNICOM CONFIRMED THAT THE C206 HAD NOT MADE ANY CALLS. CORRECTIVE ACTION - - AN OLD STORY -- USE THE RADIO AS REQUIRED AT UNCTLED FIELDS.
