Narrative:
Flight out of phx, the first officer (me) missed an open logbook writeup about the right landing light. Poor lighting and didn't see it. The next leg the same writeup was entered. Supplemental information from acn 315526: change checklist to reflect 'onboard and checked' by both crew members. Ensure maintenance checks aircraft when transiting a maintenance base (phx). This has been eliminated by management as a cost cutting measure. Safety compromised!

Narrative: FLT OUT OF PHX, THE FO (ME) MISSED AN OPEN LOGBOOK WRITEUP ABOUT THE R LNDG LIGHT. POOR LIGHTING AND DIDN'T SEE IT. THE NEXT LEG THE SAME WRITEUP WAS ENTERED. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 315526: CHANGE CHKLIST TO REFLECT 'ONBOARD AND CHKED' BY BOTH CREW MEMBERS. ENSURE MAINT CHKS ACFT WHEN TRANSITING A MAINT BASE (PHX). THIS HAS BEEN ELIMINATED BY MGMNT AS A COST CUTTING MEASURE. SAFETY COMPROMISED!
