Narrative:

2 screws were left out of the right flap outboard moveable vane track fairing. The screws were removed for maintenance of the inboard movable vane track roller fittings. The missing screws caused the fairing to lift up slightly in flight. When the flaps were retracted, the fairing was bent. No parts were dislodged and the aircraft was ferried back to maintenance and the fairing was replaced. The 2 screws that were missing were in an easily visible area, however, the fairing was never removed from the aircraft, just the 2 end screws to permit visible access to the outboard vane track. All panels that were removed from the aircraft were written up. This panel, because it was not fully removed, was not written up.

Title: ACFT DAMAGE, A FAIRING WAS BENT WHEN THE FLAPS WERE OPERATED.

Narrative: 2 SCREWS WERE LEFT OUT OF THE R FLAP OUTBOARD MOVEABLE VANE TRACK FAIRING. THE SCREWS WERE REMOVED FOR MAINT OF THE INBOARD MOVABLE VANE TRACK ROLLER FITTINGS. THE MISSING SCREWS CAUSED THE FAIRING TO LIFT UP SLIGHTLY IN FLT. WHEN THE FLAPS WERE RETRACTED, THE FAIRING WAS BENT. NO PARTS WERE DISLODGED AND THE ACFT WAS FERRIED BACK TO MAINT AND THE FAIRING WAS REPLACED. THE 2 SCREWS THAT WERE MISSING WERE IN AN EASILY VISIBLE AREA, HOWEVER, THE FAIRING WAS NEVER REMOVED FROM THE ACFT, JUST THE 2 END SCREWS TO PERMIT VISIBLE ACCESS TO THE OUTBOARD VANE TRACK. ALL PANELS THAT WERE REMOVED FROM THE ACFT WERE WRITTEN UP. THIS PANEL, BECAUSE IT WAS NOT FULLY REMOVED, WAS NOT WRITTEN UP.
