Narrative:
We have been repairing MD80 fillets with replacement seals and retainers. Due to recent attention drawn to seal retainer identify; I have realized that the retainers we have been installing have not been correctly idented. Said parts; that are subsequently stored in the shop; do not have a drawing or proper part number for identify. In addition the engineering order referenced on the shop orders does not cover the replacement or repair of seal retainers or seals.

Title: MD80 ACFT FILLET FAIRING SEALS AND SEAL RETAINER REPAIRS HAD BEEN ACCOMPLISHED WITHOUT PROPER IDENTIFICATION OR ENGINEERING ORDER.
Narrative: WE HAVE BEEN REPAIRING MD80 FILLETS WITH REPLACEMENT SEALS AND RETAINERS. DUE TO RECENT ATTN DRAWN TO SEAL RETAINER IDENT; I HAVE REALIZED THAT THE RETAINERS WE HAVE BEEN INSTALLING HAVE NOT BEEN CORRECTLY IDENTED. SAID PARTS; THAT ARE SUBSEQUENTLY STORED IN THE SHOP; DO NOT HAVE A DRAWING OR PROPER PART NUMBER FOR IDENT. IN ADDITION THE ENGINEERING ORDER REFED ON THE SHOP ORDERS DOES NOT COVER THE REPLACEMENT OR REPAIR OF SEAL RETAINERS OR SEALS.
