Narrative:

Exceeded leveloff altitude by 500 ft. I just returned to a conventional cockpit after 3 1/2 yrs of flying an automated cockpit. I knew I needed an extra amount of vigilance. After a long day in WX, I failed to manually leveloff. A pilot returning to a conventional cockpit needs to maintain an extra level of awareness and self discipline. Old habits must be relearned.
