Narrative:

I was making a power reduction abeam the numbers of runway 2 at mcminn county airport. On jul/xx/95 at XA00 pm. The gear came down and locked, the engine made a funny noise and I added power. Much to my surprise nothing happened with the addition of power. The temperature 91 degrees F and density altitude 3100 ft. The aircraft would not glide to the airport so I landed short of the runway. No damage to myself or no one else. The aircraft was then pulled to mcminn county airport where it was restarted and the mechanic thought it must have vapor locked.
