Narrative:
I was on a local flight from renton, wa, to arlington, wa, for a pleasure flight. When I was 20 mi from airport, I listened to AWOS, and called local traffic and unicom for airport information and runway in use. No one responded, even after many attempts. When on long final I heard someone announce the departure from the runway I was on final for. After landing I was contacted by a person, who, confronted me about an 'air show' event that has been taking place there, and that a temporary tower has been added to this uncontrolled airport, and that I should have checked the NOTAMS first. I replied I was sorry and asked for the proper frequencys. I then proceeded to tell him of what happened. I taxied down to the runway and called tower on appropriate frequency and asked permission for a departure. I was cleared, and went back home. I feel this could have been avoided simply by calling and getting the NOTAMS.

Title: RPTR LANDS WHERE TEMPORARY TWR IS ESTABLISHED WITHOUT CONTACTING THE TWR.
Narrative: I WAS ON A LCL FLT FROM RENTON, WA, TO ARLINGTON, WA, FOR A PLEASURE FLT. WHEN I WAS 20 MI FROM ARPT, I LISTENED TO AWOS, AND CALLED LCL TFC AND UNICOM FOR ARPT INFO AND RWY IN USE. NO ONE RESPONDED, EVEN AFTER MANY ATTEMPTS. WHEN ON LONG FINAL I HEARD SOMEONE ANNOUNCE THE DEP FROM THE RWY I WAS ON FINAL FOR. AFTER LNDG I WAS CONTACTED BY A PERSON, WHO, CONFRONTED ME ABOUT AN 'AIR SHOW' EVENT THAT HAS BEEN TAKING PLACE THERE, AND THAT A TEMPORARY TWR HAS BEEN ADDED TO THIS UNCTLED ARPT, AND THAT I SHOULD HAVE CHKED THE NOTAMS FIRST. I REPLIED I WAS SORRY AND ASKED FOR THE PROPER FREQS. I THEN PROCEEDED TO TELL HIM OF WHAT HAPPENED. I TAXIED DOWN TO THE RWY AND CALLED TWR ON APPROPRIATE FREQ AND ASKED PERMISSION FOR A DEP. I WAS CLRED, AND WENT BACK HOME. I FEEL THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED SIMPLY BY CALLING AND GETTING THE NOTAMS.
