Narrative:

ZBW gave us a descent to 16000 ft. Flight attendant entered flight deck with beverage for flight crew and proceeded to tell us about some of the passenger. Therefore, we (neglected or missed) the 1000 ft callout. ZBW then asked our altitude as we descended through 15300 ft then assigned us 15000 ft. I don't think this would have happened if we asked the flight attendant to leave the flight deck after she delivered the drinks.

Narrative: ZBW GAVE US A DSCNT TO 16000 FT. FLT ATTENDANT ENTERED FLT DECK WITH BEVERAGE FOR FLC AND PROCEEDED TO TELL US ABOUT SOME OF THE PAX.
