Called lga tower on 126.05 for clearance into the class 'B' airspace from the east river exclusion area. We entered class B space after lga issued a 'squawk,' but before lga gave us a 'cleared into class B airspace,' clearance.

Narrative: CALLED LGA TWR ON 126.05 FOR CLRNC INTO THE CLASS 'B' AIRSPACE FROM THE E RIVER EXCLUSION AREA. WE ENTERED CLASS B SPACE AFTER LGA ISSUED A 'SQUAWK,' BUT BEFORE LGA GAVE US A 'CLRED INTO CLASS B AIRSPACE,' CLRNC.
