Narrative:

Air carrier X takeoff roll at mob, at approximately 60 KTS noticed an aircraft (2 engine civic) approaching the runway from A5 taxiway. He taxied onto the runway directly in our path. Executed a rejected takeoff at approximately 70 KTS. Aircraft stopped approximately 50-100 from cpr Y. Maintenance had to change the #4 tire on the aircraft (B727). Telephone call to the tower operator at the time of the incident revealed that 'Y' was cleared to runway 14 via taxiway 'a.' he missed the turn onto 'a' and continued straight ahead on 'A5' taxiway and entered runway 14/32 during our takeoff roll. The problem arose primarily through inadequate airport familiarization and taxiing too fast on the part of the king air pilot. Contributing factor could have been taxiway markings and tower operator not monitoring his taxi progress. Incursion was first discovered by so. It would have been discovered later in a 2-MAN cockpit! Correction action -- more careful taxiing. Better lighting for taxiway with vivid markings prior to runway.

THE PROB AROSE PRIMARILY THROUGH INADEQUATE ARPT FAMILIARIZATION AND TAXIING TOO FAST ON THE PART OF THE KING AIR PLT.
