Narrative:

While cruising at 6500 ft on a VFR flight from smx, to lvk, I went into the restricted area of the camp roberts, ca R2504. At the time of the entry I was using the paso robles VOR for xrefing. The primary navigation tool being used was GPS. I had let a passenger 'a private pilot' behind the pilot look at my sectional. I did know I was in the hunter ligget MOA, but I entered the restricted area by accident. I asked how close to the restricted area I was. My passenger said 'close.' I cross radialed and found myself in the restricted area. I immediately cleared the area R2504, and continued on my VFR flight. I had no radios 'communications' on any close facilities.
