Narrative:

As we taxied in to bwi gate from runway 33R, I was first officer and PNF. Ground control cleared us to gate via 'south' and 'B' txwys. After receiving instructions from ground, I switched to ramp control to get clearance into the ramp. Meanwhile the captain continued taxiing and communicating to ground control. When I came back to ground control frequency, we were on 'a' taxiway stopped head on facing an airlines A-300 airbus. Ground cleared us onto a closed runway to let the A-300 pass by. The captain taxied by habit and did not follow ground control's specific directions.
